A new online travel magazine website. The site needed to be easy to update, and feature articles which would then be emailed to interested subscribers. The site also has one other unique feature, the client wanted to offer highly valuable Pay Per Click advertising space on the site. Particularly useful for generating extra revenue when using highly popular articles.

We chose to use a CMS and email marketing package, with our bespoke design, to create the finished website.

SoccerKidz

Rubious were taken to task to design a new eCommerce website for the new company; SoccerKidz. The main focus from the brief was to be visually appealing across different sectors, appeal to young children but also their parents as they order the courses online.

We have since worked on several updates to the website, each adding an interesting new element to the website – a section on child nutrition, a more advanced courses page, with more additions to follow. Rubious also created some posters and leaflets for the company to use, which have been very affective at increasing interest and awareness in the services they provide.

Buttermarket Lighting

Our brief was to design, build and develop a new “Product Gallery” styled website for Buttermarket

Lighting. The website would project a clean, refined professional image to users. The site should be easy to use and navigate. The main focus of the site was to showcase chosen product ranges and highlight Buttermarket Lighting’s extensive range of products available. The client also requested a CMS to allow frequent updates.

Buttermarket Lighting also instructed Rubious to re-vamp their company branding. A new logo was produced, still keeping in with existing corporate colours of dark navy value and gold.

Naturally Wood Floors

Naturally Wood Floors instructed Rubious to re-design, build and develop a new eCommerce website for naturallywood.net. The site’s main aim was to showcase the extensive range of wood flooring products, but with a twist. We needed to include some forward planning! – we had to include eCommerce features, which would be turned off at the beginning, then as popularity grew the client would have the option to turn the ability to sell products online on. We also included an “Order Sample” feature to begin with.

Additional features to be integrated include dynamic information panels that show customers similar and recently viewed products. The site will contain a Content Management System, case studies and multiple galleries with a dynamic zoom tool.

Needham Logistics Training

The NEED UK group of companies provide a one stop shop approach to providing a comprehensive list of services to the Logistics Sector. They required a new brand image and website.

A logo and stationery was produced and this style was implemented into the new website.

The website itself had some specific requirements. It performs as a total catalogue of training courses that are on offer, with one great feature: the ability to book course places online.

The courses can also be paid for using two different methods, the more standard payment online route, using PayPal and also an invoice method.

The site tracks the number of course places automatically, updating statistics online. All content is editable by staff allowing for full control over site content, number of places and prices for training courses.

R&J Marine Electronics

A family business specialising in the supply, installation and repair of all types of marine electronics since 1977. A long standing reputation and brand needing a new company website to help maintain their forward thinking nature.

Working closely with team member’s R&J Marine Electronics helped define a full feature list of their requirements. The site has the ability to showcase a full product catalogue of items, ranging from Autopilots to sonar equipment. They also need the ability to feature specific brands, so Rubious setup a brand editor allowing them to add new brand pages to their site.

Parker Harris

Based in London, Parker Harris is one of the leading visual arts consultancies in the UK. They specialise in the expert creation and delivery of visual arts projects spanning all disciplines.

Parker Harris approached Rubious to add new features to their existing site. They requested a highly complex, fully customisable competitions Content Management system.

This new system allows Parker Harris to offer online entry for competitions they create within the CMS system of the site. They have control over visual elements, ranging from logos and content to slideshows. They are also able to offer a range of price options, offering discounts to students and entries can be fully tracked, with automated confirmation emails.

Rubious involvement did not stop there, we also suggested that an email marketing system would be a perfect partner to the new competitions system, allowing Parker Harris to contact competitions entrants with well thought out, branded emails.

Hightop has been established since 1995 and specialises in window cleaning and builders cleans for both domestic and commercial clients. Rubious was tasked with re-design and re-building of their old site within a limited budget.

The old site had grown out of date, with the client wanting to project a modern, professional outlook to the website as to mirror the image portrayed by the company in the real world. Rubious took up the challenge to deliver a unique, fresh modern website, that presents all information in a clear and easy to navigate method.

JP Jahan give their clients the opportunity to offer pictures on the international market by posting them on the website.

With a supplied logo and colour scheme it was up to Rubious to design a site that matched tightly to the given brief and branding. The site requirements were extensive with the ability to add exhibitions as well as full artist bios and catalogues. JP Jahan also incorporated a bespoke designed email marketing campaign system. The campaigns have proved to be a success, with visitor and subscriber numbers increasing monthly.

Micro-net’s brief was simple: to re-design their old site, with no fancy features or flash elements.

Morrison Freight is a leading independent global logistics provider specializing in European Road Haulage, dedicated express services, warehousing and distribution. Being an international company, their brief included the requirement of the site being multilingual. The site is available in 3 languages, English, German and Italian, all 3 languages are accessible through the sites comprehensive Content Management System.

The brochure style site also other interesting features such as a interactive map detailing contacts for specific countries, a Hauliers Enquiry form and full archive of news.

Ocean Telecom has grown to become one of the leading providers of communications products and services in East Anglia and as such needed a new website to match. Rubious was delighted to have been instructed to undertake the project, working closely with the Managing Director Stephen Bradford to define the requirement of the site. During this process we underlined the specific features and tools that they required to make the website a useful tool with in their company.

The finished site is complex, content heavy brochure style web site, vast in detail with cross referencing material throughout to help with quick navigation from one section to another. A handy call back form is present on all pages to allow customers to log a contact request, making Ocean come across as a friendly, approachable company.

A email marketing system was also included in the package suggested to Ocean, this enable them to keep in contact with their current customers quickly and effectively. Sending information on product updates and releases with minimal fuss.
