Working with Rubious

You don’t need to understand all the technicalities of building a website to get the most out of working with Rubious. We will guide you every step of the way.

When you first enquire about our services, we will ask you a few questions about your company – the company sector, size, whether or not you need to offer e-Commerce, if you have any existing logo and promotional material. We will come and visit your offices to go through this in more detail if needed, and to get a glimpse into what your company is about. Listening to our clients is a speciality of ours, we don’t just need to but we want to understand exactly what your company is about and what you are trying to achieve.

Once we have decided on the features of the website, we will provide you with a comprehensive proposal – we’ve been told these are extremely clear and useful. This will go into detail about your website, the proposed features, a schedule for the work, and a quotation. Once you are happy with this, you sign it off and we can begin work.

The first stage is the design of your website. If you have a logo and some promotional material already in circulation then this is a great help, as we tailor your website design to your existing material or go for a complete fresh approach. If you are a new company, or are re-branding, then we also have the option of designing a new logo for you – providing you with several options and then tweaking them until you are happy.

Using our extensive experience and well honed knowledge of what makes a great web site, we will create a visual of your new website design. We will think of all aspects of the website, and then show you the first proof – these are called the “Initial Visuals”. These show 2-3 pages, and are used to ascertain if we are heading in the right direction in terms of style and looks. We welcome your feedback – praise and criticism alike – and take all of that into account and re-proof. This can either be something completely different if the first design was not to your liking, or we can simply incorporate your extra ideas and make small changes to the design. Either way, we continue to work on the design until you are happy with it. Once the initial web site visuals are approved we will then visualise all main sections and features of the site. We then review again and makes changes as needed, until you are totally happy and sign off the design.

Once the design is finalised, Rubious will then work on the website code. This is a process which takes the designs of your website and puts them online as a website. We will also set up a Content Management System and online shop if needed. You will have an opportunity to check the website and enter in any additional content before it goes live.

Once your website is live, this is not the end of our involvement. We will provide statistics of the performance of your website (how many visitors are coming to your site, which pages they are most interested in, etc.) and will continue to monitor and manage the hosting of the website to make sure it is always available and up-to-date and we will always be available for advice and support calls.
